After IAN Trip | Onikai
Yuichiro Tamura
The first exhibition of our 2nd-floor space 'Onikai', 'After IAN Trip,' a solo show by Yuichiro Tamura will start on 29th February.
Tamura transforms everyday life into a series of rare events by uncovering unconventional connections with the world.
This exhibition draws inspiration by the haiku 'You Only Live Twice,' that Ian Fleming, a British author of the '007' movie series, composed "after" Matsuo Basho, during his trip to Japan. Taking its cue from the first part of this haiku suggesting 'resurrection,' later becoming the title of Fleming's book, this is an attempt to see the world through a new set of eyes see the world.
