MtK Contemporary Art is pleased to announce the participation for "Art Collaboration Kyoto 2024." MtK Contemporary Art will present “ATM” by Yuichiro Tamura.

The artist has been embarking on diverse artistic endeavors spanning video, installation, and theatrical productions, incorporating historical matters and current affairs. Through the process of “encoding” a subject matter to its initial, Tamura establishes “an exchange point” of different narratives.

“ATM” is an AI system that has absorbed all the data of the artist’s past interviews, scripts, and other work information. Housed within a structure imitating an “Automated Teller Machine,” it responds to three letters chosen by the viewer, telling a story like prophecy.

The other body of ATM is at Art Tower Mito for Tamura’s retrospective exhibition “ATM”. Serving as an alter ego of the artist, these two begin operating autonomously and invite you to witness their first demonstration.
