Kono Suki Ni Shizenga
Three artists, Zon ITO, creating embroidery works, sculptures, small works, pieces using clay, Yuko KANAMORI, working in videos, installations, and performance while also creating works with kids and her friends, and Yurie NAGASHIMA, a photographer focusing on the theme of family, identity, and relationships with others will be exhibiting at MtK Contemporary Art.
NAGASHIMA’s portrait works that capture plants, fish that were spared from being fished due to the Coronavirus, KANAMORI’s works that are made by connecting bits of fabrics and strings, and the next of a harvest mouse that resembles it, a dandelion trying to live through winter at our feet, the things ITO has thought about in the past year up to this exhibition, are all the things that led to this exhibition’s title Kono Suki Ni Shizenga (meaning ‘nature within this gap’ in Japanese).
